RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for preschool teachers for Torpa and Grimmans preschools. Here, the children's best interests are our focus.

Torpa Preschool is located in the Vikaholm district. The preschool opened in January 2023 and consists of four units with a total of ten age-appropriate groups. Here, you work in collaboration teams together with other preschool teachers and childcare workers, in a growing and developing activity.

Grimmans Preschool is located in the Teleborg district. Here, approximately 60 children meet in three units, where the teaching is designed by preschool teachers and childcare workers based on the children's age, interests, and needs.

The preschools are part of the Education Administration in Växjö Municipality and are part of the preschool organization SYD. Seven preschools are part of SYD's organization where diversity is given space. The preschools meet continuously in various contexts for collegial learning and experience sharing.

We draw inspiration from the Reggio Emilia philosophy and believe in the competent child who learns and explores together with curious educators. Our teaching environments are creative, accessible, and joyful, where aesthetic expressions are a natural part of learning. We work process-oriented, and the children are involved in the design of projects that stem from our curriculum.

As a preschool teacher in the preschool organization SYD, you have overall responsibility for the pedagogical content of the teaching. You lead the goal-oriented work that promotes children's development and learning, in accordance with the preschool curriculum. In close collaboration with colleagues in the collaboration team, you plan, implement, and follow up on the teaching with a focus on the children's best interests. You actively participate in the systematic quality work, where documentation and analysis of the education take place continuously in the learning platform Unikum.

You are an important part of a larger context where collaboration, reflection, and development are central parts of the work. Through a professional approach and strong commitment, you contribute to creating a preschool where every child has the opportunity to develop into their best self.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are primarily looking for you who are a licensed preschool teacher. You are a clear leader for both children and the work team, with good cooperation skills, flexibility, and a positive view of the child's competence. You work for the best of the entire preschool and all children, are curious, and want to contribute to high pedagogical quality.

You document and follow up on children's development, analyze results, and integrate the curriculum's goals into the teaching. You have commitment and collaborate well with children, guardians, colleagues, and management.

For newly graduated teachers, we offer a well-developed mentorship year.

We place great importance on personal suitability for the position. Even you who are studying to become a preschool teacher may be considered for employment.
